From Nigeria, With Love

Our story begins with my grandmother — a strong, resourceful woman in Nigeria who worked tirelessly every day to give her family a better future. She was known for her determination, her kindness, and for selling kola nut and kola powder, a cherished seed in our culture believed by many to have healing and even fertility benefits.

When my father immigrated to America, he never forgot where he came from. He sent money home to help my grandmother buy a piece of land — land she hoped her grandchildren would one day return to, to honor their roots and continue the legacy she started.

That dream became a reality in July 2024, when we had a vision of going back to Nigeria. Out of that experience came Bean & Kola, and with it, our very first creation — the 89er Blend, a comforting mix of amaretto, hazelnut, Irish cream, and fudge. Inspired by warmth and heritage, it quickly became a favorite, and remains our best-seller to this day.

At Bean & Kola, we believe in more than just coffee — we believe in connection. Every cup is crafted to bring a little more joy, a little more warmth, and a reminder of home, family, and shared stories. Our mission is simple: to deliver positivity in every sip.
